Palitan (Exchange) is an erotic, psychological drama-thriller set in the gritty street and corners of Raon, Quiapo, Manila - a third world commercial avenue where everything from dildos, car parts, home appliances to other electronic gadgets is sold and can be bargained for at a certain price. Nestor (Alex Medina), 20’s, a stupid, ill-tempered loser, literally buried in bad debt and costly favors from his cunning boss, Ramiro (Mon Confiado), 30’s, owner of one of Raon’s electronics surplus shop. But Ramiro wants more than money from Nestor. Love-starved and porn-tired Ramiro wants Nestor’s young, lovely common-law wife, Luisa (Mara Lopez). Ramiro makes Nestor a deal: take footages of Luisa’s naked body as she takes a bath and a portion of Nestor’s debt goes away. Nestor agrees and sets up a spy camera in the cramped common bathroom of the filthy tenement where they live to take video footages of his innocent, sexy wife. Everything seems fair and square for the said bargain. Until the real price for such a deal pushes the characters into unexpected, unexplored boundaries of power play, love, lust, deceit, jealousy and pride, ultimately ending in a fatal pay-off.

One of our favorites for the best nudity/sex scenes of all time (Philippine Cinema). Mara Lopez takes on her biggest and most daring role in the sexy thriller Palitan. Mara Lopez showing a lot of flesh in this movie and was her first screen Nudity.  Interestingly though, Mara won the Best Actress award in CinemaOne Originals Festival for this flick.
